This project examines published presentations of authority through documentary analysis and close reading. It does not infer a person's competence or an audience's response from a biography alone.
The project will continue monitoring official conference programmes and biographies, revisiting interpretations as new material becomes available. The paper, methodology, source-linked findings and dated updates will be published here.
